Meanings of the national day song

hey,just wanted to share a MrBrownShow podcast i heard over these few days.This podcast is about the newest National Day song by Corrine May and it touches on what else but how Singapore has gone through the years.MrBrownShow always does a "funny" version of the national day songs for each year and it is well, quite funny.

What is a National Day song suppose to mean/do?It is supposed to allow Singaporeans to be more proud of their country and be happy to be in Singapore and I believe with this funny version,the song has served twice the amount of happiness a Singaporean would/should get.
